Description
The Mouseman of Kilburn’s stool, comes with a reference book on the man and his Mouseman Legacy.
Robert Thompson was the Mouseman of Kilburn – a renowned British furniture maker. It is claimed the mouse motif came about accidentally in 1919 following a conversation about “being as poor as a church mouse” – leading to him carving a mouse on the cornice, and subsequently making it his craftsman trademark. Remarkable condition.
The stool measures approx. 35cm high by 31cm wide.
