Large French Lithograph Dated 1913 & Signed
This is a large early 20th Century Hand Coloured Engraving by Victor Lhuer (French,
1876–1952 Paris). Victor was a Student of Charles Genuys and Edmond Lechevallier-
Chevignard, among others, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français in 1899,
1902, 1903, 1904 and 1910. And he then became the head designer for the
couturier Paul Poiret and specialized in costumes and haute couture. Later, he
taught at the School of Arts Applied to Industry.
This piece is titled "Half Morning" and signed by the artist, and also dated 1913. Its in lovely
condition, Triple Matted and Gallery Framed Under Glass. The frame measures 87cm high
by 57cm wide. This is a very good and Rare Fashion Engraving by a French Pioneer of
Haute Couture. Hand signed by him !!
