Alfred Clint (1843-1923) Painting on Silk c1900
This is a lovely vibrant Painting on Silk signed Alfred Clint. Clint was born in Kensington,
England, son of marine landscapist Alfred Clint and grandson of portraitist George Clint.
He left for Australia, where he joined with John Hennings in 1867, painting the scenery for a
production of Antony and Cleopatra at the Theatre Royal, Melbourne, starring Walter
Montgomery. This piece is a watercolour on Silk titled "Picnic on the River". Its in lovely
condition. The frame measures 55cm wide by 44cm high.
